I am a Christian woman who probably would be found listed among the who’s who of the Bible bad girls. I can relate to Eve, and wish she didn’t tempt Adam, but I believe it was Adams strong love that get him in trouble as well. I have a great deal in common with Lots wife’s struggle with not looking backwards and keeping my feet moving forward, and I have a good deal of Jobs wife inside but not verbalized about what went wrong in Job’s decision and relationship with God. On the flip side I have a strong sense of right and wrong. I believe the only way into the Kingdom of God is through Jesus Christ.
With all this said, to show you how the moral values in my life have grown out of my relationship with God and my life experiences. They are the seeds that have motivated me in very distinctive ways over the course of time. These
values are: compassion, kindness, respect, responsibility, and honesty.
Compassion and kindness are values that were woven into the core of my being by my mother who gave up teaching math to raise her family.
My mother taught me to help others who were suffering. Over the course of time I grew to understand that compassion could not stand alone, it needed to be filled with kindness when working to meet the needs of others.
