Portland, Oregon | Man Seeking A Woman
Basic Information
First name
Ken
I Can Speak
English
I Would Describe Myself As
Several things come to mind. Think Boaz waiting for Ruth, not knowing if she will ever arrive but waiting in FAITH. Or, more to my "silly side", Ken waiting on Barbie?? Being named Ken I was teased too many times, so if your name happens to be Barbie, well, you get the point.
I am goofy yet serious when I need to be.
I long to open car doors for "her/you".
I want to help put your coat on when we go places, to enter a room to see you having the second largest smile in the place as you look at me, knowing that I have the largest smile looking at you.
So, how does a person in today's culture and environment try to find a like minded Christian girl with a long term desire to faithfully walk towards Jesus together? Not a "biblical" relationship as if you carefully study the time of Jesus' ministry you will find that men of 30 would marry only girls of maybe 15. Today that is called what!!!!
I seek a Christian Princess who wants to join with me and journey towards Jesus, as equal. The Greek word Kyrio comes to mind, a word often used by both John and Paul in their epistles. My understanding of this word is that it means FULL equality for all that believe in Jesus. Thus, being equally yoked.
Now, I certainly to enjoy the many flavors of life. I must admit I often cry when listening to a softly sung love song. I just heard one from Mark Knophler and Emmy Lou Harris, made me cry so wanting to enjoy the quiet evening with "her/you" while reading the bible together.
So, I will consider it all a joy as James teaches us. And I will be patient as I wait for Jesus hoping that maybe, just maybe, a true Christian Princess will read this note in a bottle.
Follow up to my willingness to relocate: I did say 'yes'. However, what I mean is someplace within an hour or so of Portland as my kids / grandkids are here.
Follow up on my job status: I am retired, but for now have a part-time job to stay active. I look forward to maybe someday having someone that I can dote on and so no longer work at all.
Follow up on drinking: I do enjoy a cold beer sometimes if "we" go out for pizza. But other than that, I do not drink. Frankly, I usually have half iced tea / half lemonaide.
***Full Disclosure***
Everyone tries to impress with these postings. However, as is the case for most if not all of us at our age, I do have some dirty laundry in the closet. I am not going into details at this point other than to say that should we ever get to a point that we meet, it is critical that by our second meeting I have shared with you what my situation is. No, it has nothing to do with my plumbing! In that area, all works just fine. I had some serious accusations hurled at me some years ago by an ex-wife who was non-Christian but wanting to be a contributing writer for True American Detective. Enough of this for now.
