I am way out of my comfort zone but I do miss the company of a good man like my husband of 56 years. He passed away almost four years ago and I never expected to have another close relationship with a man and maybe that is not what I am looking for. Maybe just a companion for dinner or a Sunday drive to the apple orchard or to see Christmas lights or watch a movie though they aren’t making many I care to see. Get my drift? Or maybe someone has a birthday that we could celebrate! The simple pleasures of life in this beautiful area we live in. I love to read but have a hard time taking time to do it. I have very close friends I like to spend time with when we can all make it for lunch. Attend weekly Bible Study and value that greatly and love my Southern Baptist church and try to be in service as often as I can. I have one beautiful granddaughter who is my sunshine. Two grown sons-one in Florida and one in Chattanooga. I love Tennessee except the humidity in summer. Enjoy time at the beach but always ready to be home again.

One special little friend with four white feet and very handsome. Very protective since my husband died and just wants to be with me wherever I am. I love animals of all kinds except the snakes and lizards. Like antiquing and just poking around interesting places especially of historical interest. Not very interested in sports but very tolerant of anyone who is. I can always find a shopping mall open or find a good book. Like good soup and cornbread in fall and winter but don’t engage in much cooking anymore. I can still put together a good meal if necessary! Love to try different ethnic meals. Like to keep life simple. If you are picky and inflexible we wouldn’t do well. Nice dresser but Jeans are good too. At the right time!

If you are tired of bathing and getting haircuts that would be a problem. I like to dress well but appreciate casual times when sweatpants or shorts are just so comfortable. A little quiet time when it’s just us and conversation isn’t necessary. Kind, warm-hearted, well mannered Southern gentleman who still opens doors and loves his family and looks to God for his source of strength. I am just an old fashioned woman who loves people and never expected to be a widow. It is hard at best but some choices I didn’t get to make. But I have to find a way to live with the choices that were made for me and try to enjoy life because I am still here for a reason.
